Assisted dying research webinar videos

The University of Auckland's research team on The End of Life Choice Act 2019 held a webinar on April 4th, 2024, discussing assisted dying research in New Zealand. Drs Gary CheungRosemary Frey, Aida Dehkhoda, Waqas Arshad, and Tess Moeke-Maxwell presented findings from six studies conducted over the initial two years since the law's implementation. The research explored the experiences of health professionals involved in assisted dying, as well as perspectives from Māori and non-Māori families considering or using the Act.

These studies aimed to provide insights and reflections on assisted dying experiences in New Zealand. Please note that most studies discussed during the webinar were still in progress. As a result, the presentations for these studies will be accessible here once they have been published.
