New podcast: Rapua Te Marama

Bereaved Māori whānau experiences of palliative care and death

March 20 2022

Dr Tess Moeke-Maxwell joins host Dr Jackie Robinson to discuss her Rapua Te Marama study that is exploring Māori whānau (extended family) experiences of death during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown period. She begins by sharing her whanau’s own story of the death of her mokopuna (grandchild) and how this motivated her to investigate what it was like for others who had someone in their ‘bubble’ die during this time.
