Tune in to  Series 1 of our new podcast series hosted by Dr Jackie Robinson. Over the next couple of months, we’ll post a new episode each week (with a break for Christmas/New Years).  Each one features Jackie talking to a member of Te Ārai about issues critical to palliative and end of life care for older adults. With more than 25 years of experience in palliative care nursing, Jackie’s insider knowledge underpins her conversations with her guests. Episode 1, Does digital technology help or hinder kaumātua connections? features Dr Melissa Carey talks to Jackie about her research with kaumātua in South Auckland. She shares their views on using digital technology during COVID restrictions.

More about Jackie: Dr Jackie Robinson is a senior lecturer and nurse practitioner. Her research interests are in social justice issues related to palliative and end of life care. She is an inaugural member of the Te Ara Palliative and End of Life Care Research group in the School of Nursing at the University of Auckland.
