Working across boundaries

August 27 2019

Earlier this month, Holly Nelson Becker presented her research at our August Te Arai Research Group seminar. In her talk, Working across boundaries: Creating effective transdisciplinary pathways for compassionate care, she highlighted many of the strengths and challenges of working in transdisciplinary palliative care teams. She noted that strong teams are known for their emphasis on open communication to develop trust, resolve unnecessary conflict, work towards common goals and other positive factors. In contrast, role confusion, blurred boundaries and a sense of isolation can limit team effectiveness.

To learn more, listen to Holly’s complete presentation and/or download her PowerPoint. (Apologies for the short break in the audio at 21.04…equipment hiccough.)
